Hi, my name is Christian Derks. I've worked in masonry since I was 16. I started out on concrete, sidewalks, and setting curbs. I moved on to footings and foundations, and then to brick, block, and stone.

At 23 years old I opened my own business and worked 10 years in Connecticut building fireplaces for custom homes. I moved to Colorado and worked for the union for 4 years before opening my own business there and honed my craft at historical masonry restoration.

During winters, I also plowed snow.

In 2013 I returned to Connecticut and worked for various contractors.
